    27th annual Asian-American Heritage Festival set to kick off this weekend

    The 27th annual Asian-American Heritage Festival is set to take place at Kenisco Dam Plaza this weekend.

    The event will kick off on Saturday.

    Event organizers say the festival will showcase Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indian, Thai and Vietnamese cultures.

    The festival will also have dozens of vendors offering balloon animals, face painting, food, cultural dances and more.

    Event organizers say there will also be free medical and dental screenings.

    The festival kicks off at noon.
