In front of producers, distributors, investors and global film industry players, Fadli emphasized that Indonesia is now not just a market, but also a major player in the world film industry.

“In 2024, the number of national film viewers will reach more than 81 million or about 67% of the total cinema audiences in Indonesia. This figure shows that Indonesian films have become the host in their own country,” said Fadli in his statement to VOI.

Not only in terms of the number of viewers, national film production has also experienced a significant increase. Throughout 2024, more than 200 films have been released, reflecting industrial optimism and increasing public enthusiasm for domestic films. “We don’t want to develop on our own. The Indonesian film industry must continue to cooperate with Asian film powerhouses such as South Korea, India, and Hong Kong,” he said.

As a form of support, the government presents the Indonesian Pavilion in Hong Kong FILMART 2025, providing space for filmmakers and national production houses to introduce their projects to the international market.
