Kamala Harris ad targets Fil Am voters in Nevada – AsAmNews

The campaign of Kamala Harris unveiled new digital ads today targeting the Filipino American vote in Nevada.

44% of the state’s Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are Filipino American. They make up Nevada’s largest AAPI subgroup with Chinese a distant second.

The ads will appear on taxis, bus shelters, and billboards proclaiming “Pinoy Pride” just in time for Las Vegas’ Pinoy Pride Festival and the beginning of Filipino American History Month in October.

“These ads underscore our campaign’s efforts to reach Filipino American voters where they are and speak with them about what’s at stake in this election – freedom, safety, dignity, and an Opportunity Economy where small businesses can thrive and working people can fully realize the promise of America,” said Harris-Walz Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Spokesperson Andrew Peng.

Peng says the Vice President is responsible for bringing back Filipino American History Month celebrations to the White House and that she is “proud to join in honoring the resilience and joy of this incredible community.”

Nevada is considered a purple state with six electoral college votes up for grabs.
