Citing health concerns, Alesso has cancelled his highly anticipated one-night-only concert in Kuala Lumpur this January 2025. The show, which was set to take place on 17 January at The Landing, KL Base, would have marked his long-awaited return to Malaysia after over 12 years and was his only standalone performance in Southeast Asia.
Alesso cancels Kuala Lumpur show due to health concerns, leaving Southeast Asia fans disappointed
Known for chart-topping hits like Heroes (We Could Be), Calling (Losing My Mind), and Remedy, Alesso has captivated audiences worldwide with his signature fusion of euphoric melodies and electrifying beats. With over 5.5 billion streams, two Platinum-certified singles, and collaborations with global icons such as Katy Perry, Calvin Harris, and Tove Lo, he has solidified his status as a powerhouse in modern music. The Kuala Lumpur concert was poised to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for fans across the region, offering the rare opportunity to witness one of the most influential DJs of our generation perform live.
The announcement came from event organisers, The Livescape Group, who shared that Alesso has decided to withdraw from the remainder of his tour following medical advice. After an intense touring schedule, doctors recommended he take a necessary break to focus on his health and well-being. This marks the first time in the Swedish DJ’s 14-year career that he has had to cancel a tour, underscoring the exceptional circumstances.
While the excitement of touring creates magical moments for fans, the physical and mental toll on artists can be immense. It’s crucial for performers to prioritise their health to sustain their careers and continue creating the music their fans love.
Regarding refunds, ticket holders will automatically receive their money back within 14 working days, with no further action needed.
