TOKYO/SEOUL — U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s declaration to raise tariffs on imports from Mexico, Canada and China is the latest blow for Japanese and South Korean carmakers selling in the world’s second-largest auto market.

Trump said last week via his personal social media account that he will levy tariffs of 25% on all U.S. imports from Mexico and Canada, and an extra 10% tariff on Chinese goods.
