Investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying an Asian victim whose remains were found in Gilgo Beach, New York over a decade ago.
According to a press release from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, the remains were found on April 4th, 2011, in Ocean Parkway. Investigators believe the victim is a biological male of Asian descent, around 17 to 23 years old at the time of death.
The victim, the DA’s Office says, was wearing exclusively women’s clothes when they were found:
- Chrysantheme’ blue ribbed short-sleeve shirt with crew neck
- ‘Rafaella’ brand shirt
- ‘Bill Blass’ pants and a “Bill Blass” bra
Investigators have created renderings of the victim as both a man and a woman. They believe the victim died in 2006, five years prior to the discovery of the remains, and suffered a violent death.
According to CNN, the victim is one of 11 sets of remains that have been found in the Gilgo Beach area. They were found around the same area as area as two other victims.

“I think it was about 300 or so feet from Megan Waterman in that same stretch of the parkway. So it was between Megan Waterman and Jessica Taylor,” County District Attorney Ray Tierney said, per CNN.
Authorities have yet to confirm whether Heuermann is connected to the unidentified Asian victim.
“Each one of these victims, it’s a separate crime scene. Start from that separate crime scene and you work your way up, which we’re doing,” Tierney said per CNN. “It’s all nice to speculate, but it basically doesn’t matter until you can bring charges, and we’re certainly not at that stage.”
NBC News reports that an investigation into the internet search history of an email account associated with Heuermann found searches for “asian twink tied up porn.”
Anyone with information regarding this case or the victim is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS or via email. Crimestoppers is offering a $2500 reward for information leading to identification.
