Colonie Police warn of crimes targeting Asian American business owners

Published on

Colonie Police are investigating crimes against Asian American business owners.

Several high-end homes were targeted in the past two weeks, police said. However, similar crimes have been happening for two years, they said.

The suspects surveil the area for a few days before the burglaries, police said. They enter the homes through a window or rear sliding door and seek cash, jewelry, purses and other high-end items, according to investigators.

Some have also had their car broken into.

Anyone with information is asked to call Colonie Police at 518-783-2754. You can also call Capital Region Crimestoppers at 1-833-ALB-TIPS, or go to capitalregioncrimestoppers.com.
