US Stock Market Live: Futures on Wall Street are surging after the Trump Administration said that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and top trade official Jamieson Greer would meet their Chinese counterparts in Switzerland later this week. Futures on the Dow Jones are up 280 points, while those on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq are up 50 points and 200 points respectively. Stocks took a leg down on Tuesday as US President Donald Trump played down the need for deals, saying he will set the terms of the deals and they will be signed if he wishes so. All eyes are also on the US Federal Reserve, with Fed Chair Jerome Powell set to hold interest rates yet again. With the policy nearly priced in, focus will be on his statements and the subsequent reaction from Trump, who has been a vocal advocate of lower rates. Brent has taken support at $60 and clawed back towards $62 per barrel, while Gold, after briefly reclaiming $3,400 an ounce last night, is seeing some profit booking.
