Racist texts received by a top fundraiser for Kamala Harris are telling him to go back to India, reports DevDiscourse.
Ajay Bain Bhutoria began receiving the messages Sunday, just days after Harris conceded the election to Donald Trump.
“You claim that you are doing what’s best for Americans, but you aren’t doing anything for Americans, and you don’t care about America.” the text read, according to Times of India.
“You are Indian. You only care about Indians. You do what’s best for India. Why are you here. Stop being a beggar in America and become a leader in India.”
Bhutoria serves as deputy national finance chair at the Democratic National Committee and held a similar role in the Harris-Walz campaign.
He has been posting some of the messages on social media.
“Trump supporters asking me to go back to India to fight for green card backlog,” he said.
