MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – This Saturday, locals can participate in the largest Asian food festival in the 901 Now.
Thousands in the Bluff City are expected to enjoy Asian culture filled with food, one-of-a-kind clothes, live music and more.
”It’s going to be unique,” Quynh Tran, President of the Vietnamese American Community, said. “You are going to see Filipino food, Thai food, Vietnamese food, and more food all in one place. You can’t beat that.”
The Asian Night Market is back for its second year, but this year 13 Asian countries will be on full display.
“When we brainstorm, we realized that the Asian Night Market is also happening in many other Asian countries,” Tran said. “So, we expanded and recruited more Asian countries to join the Asian Night Market.”
Another change this year is the location. From Crosstown to Tiger Lane, event organizer Quynh Tran said the bigger space will enhance the experience.
“It’s 13 different countries, you won’t be able to travel to 13 different countries to try food,” Tran said. “But you can do that right here!”

Although it’s only for one night, Tran says it’s important to embrace Asian culture in the Bluff City and the Asian Night Market can help you do just that.
“If you want to travel to Asia, and you haven’t had the chance, this is our chance,” Tran said. “And if you’ve always had an idea about Night Market but you don’t know what it is, then this is your chance, too.”
