Mental Health Platform for Asian Americans Anise Health Raises $3M Seed Round

    Published on

Anise Health, a digital mental health platform focused on culturally-responsive care for Asian Americans, has announced a $3M seed funding round led by Kicker Ventures. The round saw participation from Authentic Heart, Change Paradox Ventures, Progression Fund, How Women Invest, Celtic House Asia Partners, Nextblue, Gold House Ventures, and several angel investors, along with a grant from the National Institute of Mental Health.

The funding follows the company’s $1.2M pre-seed round in June 2023, when they expanded their services from California to New York. The platform aims to address the growing mental health needs within the Asian American community by providing culturally-responsive care through therapy, coaching, and self-guided resources.

“We’re seeing a 97% completion rate of the first 4 sessions among our clients, compared to 50% POC dropout after one session. And we’re seeing statistically significant symptom improvements in just 1 month of treatment,” said Alice Zhang, co-founder of Anise Health.
