    SF mayor-elect to celebrate inaugration in Chinatown – AsAmNews

    San Francisco mayor-elect Daniel Lurie, who is an heir to the Levi’s fortune, will celebrate his inauguration in Chinatown, The San Francisco Standard reports.

    Lurie will be sworn in at City Hall on January 8. Afterward, he will celebrate the start of his term in Chinatown with a night market in the area. A banquet will also be hosted at Far East Cafe.

    According to NBC News Bay Area, organizers expect around 800 people to attend the banquet. Before the dinner, there will be a lion dance and other performances featuring 100,000 firecrackers.
