The Asian markets were trading on a positive note on Thursday morning following the overnight record-high gains in the US markets, as investors shook off geopolitical concerns. Japan’s Nikkei 225 was up 0.23% at 39,368. The Korean index Kospi was up 0.34% at 2,603. The Asia Dow was trading 1.39% higher at 3,763. Similarly, the benchmark Chinese index, Shanghai Composite rose 0.84% to 3,286.

Ola Electric may be headed for a rough ride. The company may face a class action suit by the Consumer Affairs Ministry under the Central Consumer Protection Act (CCPA). Consumer Affairs secretary, Nidhi Khare told Fe on Wednesday that the ministry has initiated a class action against the company by issuing a notice to Ola on October 3 about deficiency in services, misleading advertisement, violation of consumer rights, and unfair trade practices.
