Sensex Nifty Today | Stock Market Live Updates: GIFT Nifty was trading higher ahead of opening of the stock market on Monday. It took hints from the Asian markets as they trade mixed. Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 1.10% at 37,565. The Asia Dow was trading 1.6% lower at 3,805.81. South Korea’s Kospi was flat at 2,532. The Shanghai Composite was trading 0.34% higher at 3,332.
The top cues for Indian markets at the current moment include
1. US Trump Tariff: The tariffs on Canada and Mexico will be implemented as scheduled on Tuesday. However, US President Donald Trump will decide the specific amounts for these tariffs.
2. Asia trading higher + US : The Asian indices opened Monday’s trading on a higher note, while the US indices advanced on Friday.
3. US Dollar: The dollar index has fallen to around 107.2 on Monday as renewed optimism about a potential resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Piramal Enterprises received a GST demand notice of Rs 1,502 crore, including tax, interest and penalties, from the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Maharashtra. According to an exchange filing on Friday, the penalty component amounts to Rs 83 crore.

ACME Solar Holdings plans to diversify into nuclear energy and will also expand its solar and hybrid energy capacity. The company, which presently has 2.5 gigawatt (GW) of solar capacity is aiming to increase it to 3.5 GW by the end of 2026 and 7 GW by 2027 before reaching its target of 10 GW contracted capacity by 2030, its chief executive officer Nikhil Dhingra said.
