    Which Eastern Connecticut Chinese restaurant is the local favorite?

    While there’s plenty of complex dishes you can order out, something as straightforward as meat, vegetables and rice can be so satisfying.

    Chinese food has long been a staple of ordering out. Every town seems to have at least one spot to get fried rice for stir-fried beef. The question is whether to get a combination platter, or the full-sized meals.

    Whether you’re someone who tries to save their some of their dinner for the next day, or if you eat it in one sitting, we’d like to know which Chinese restaurant is your favorite.

    Take our poll with just some of the Chinese take-out spots and dine-in restaurants in eastern Connecticut. The poll closes on Dec. 15.

    China Garden, 1074 North Main Street, Dayville

    Located a short distance away from the Killingly Commons, China Garden is conveniently located for shoppers to stop in for a bite. It has the common Chinese take out dishes, plus a health food menu.

    The newest restaurant on the list, EL Calenton Chino offers Chinese Food with a Puerto Rican twist. Sometimes it’s a unique take on a take-out favorite, like Lo Mein, to Puerto Rican dishes, like Mofongo.

    El Calenton Chino Chef and Owner Lai Ching Fong learned how to cook with a wok and an open flame at age 12.

    Golden Palace Chinese Restaurant, 2173 Norwich-New London Turnpike, Uncasville

    With a bar and a stylish dining room, Golden Palace Chinese Restaurant in Uncasville offers Authentic Chinese dishes, like Peking Duck and Chilled Jelly Fish, and Chinese American dishes, like Sichuan Pepper Chicken and Dragon & Phoenix, along with Dim Sum and Banquet Menus for special occasions.
