American schoolgirl Willa Brubaker won the world title at the 19th Chinese Bridge competition, a Chinese-language contest for foreign secondary school students. The final took place on the evening of September 21 in Tianjin, China.
Winner from Chicago
Brubaker represented Chicago. She had previously won the Americas region and advanced to the global final.
Continental winners from Vietnam, Madagascar, Italy and New Zealand also reached the final with her. The competition results were reported by ECNS.

Program in Beijing and Tianjin
This year, the Chinese Bridge program marked its 25th anniversary. Participants took part in language and cultural events in Beijing and Tianjin.
As part of the program, they visited the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. The Chinese Bridge competition is intended for foreign secondary school students studying Chinese.
