Nifty set for Positive Start | Oil prices, US yields cool off | Opening Bell

Wall Street ended higher on Monday, with the Dow gaining 0.7%, the S&P 500 rising 1.5% and the Nasdaq surging 2.3%, as a rally in Big Tech stocks and falling oil prices lifted US markets. Intel jumped 12%, AMD surged 10% to cross the $1 trillion market-cap mark, Qualcomm rallied 9% and Meta gained 11.4%. Nymex crude fell 4.5%, while Brent declined 3.4% on hopes of a diplomatic breakthrough. US President Donald Trump said he would be open to meeting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during the UN General Assembly. Treasury yields cooled as oil prices declined, with the US 10-year yield slipping to 4.95%. Asian markets opened higher, while Gift Nifty indicated a positive start for Indian equities. In India, the Nifty rose for the fourth straight session and ended above 23,400. FIIs were net sellers of ₹576.20 crore in equities, while DIIs were net buyers of ₹2,797.27 crore.
