Adele Lim, co-writer of Crazy Rich Asians and Raya and the Last Dragon, is set to direct The Princess Diaries 3, Variety and other entertainment media reported.
“As a diehard fan of the original ‘Princess Diaries,’ I’m beyond excited to be a part of bringing the third iteration of this beloved franchise to life,” Lim said in a statement, according to Variety. “We look forward to celebrating its core tenants of female power, joy and mentorship with audiences worldwide.”
The Princess Diaries films star Anne Hathaway as a teen turned queen of the fictional Genovia, and Julie Andrews as her grandmother.
