LOS ANGELES — Since 2007, the Japanese American National Museum has partnered with Giant Robot founder Eric Nakamura to produce the “Giant Robot Biennale,” which encompasses pop art, skateboard, comic book, graphic arts and vinyl toy culture.

Eric Nakamura launched the Giant Robot magazine in 1994 and although he stopped physical publication in 2011, the brand continues as a gallery and a retail store along the Sawtelle corridor in West LA.

“Giant Robot Biennale 5” features artwork by Sean Chao, Felicia Chiao, Luke Chueh, Giorgiko, James Jean, Taylor Lee, Mike Shinoda, Rain Szeto and Yoskay Yamamoto and has been extended to run until Jan. 5, 2025.
