The company says it is one of the five finalists in the ITC Asia 2026 InsurTech Pitch Battle, taking place in Singapore on July 1. Shaun Quincey, Simfuni’s CEO and Co-Founder, will travel to Singapore and pitch alongside the other finalists as part of the event.

ITC Asia, which bills itself as Asia’s leading event for insurance growth, describes the Pitch Battle onLinkedIn as: “Five founders. Five solutions. Five shots at being crowned Asia’s most exciting insurtech startup of 2026.”

Quincy tells Riskinfo that Simfuni is delighted to represent New Zealand on the global stage.

“We looked at the options for New Zealand life insurers and life insurers around the world, and we identified that the systems of record could not take advantage of automation that was available in the world of AI,” he says.

“We believe that the New Zealand ecosystem and our … great New Zealand life insurance customers have helped us deliver a platform that is competing on the world stage and opening the door to autonomous operations for the global life insurance sector.”
